Paducah Fall Days: 1 Great Event + 1 Day Trip

The Holland family has been soaking up the fabulous fall weather. Two weekends ago, we went to the Fort Massac Encampment. I've been attending the encampment - during which hobbyist reenact a battle from the French and Indian War - since I was a child and I LOVE introducing my boys to the fun of fake canon fire and Indian Fry Bread!

Mark your calendars because next year's encampment is October 17 and 18th!

Last weekend, we visited Pennyrile State Forest Resort Park to do some geocaching and take in the fall colors. I'd never been before but this small park has some great and family-friendly trails featuring VERY cool sandstone formations. I highly recommend it!
